Heiko Blessin (Germany)

Known aquarist and traveller with over 40 years of experience. Member of annually research expeditions around the world. He visited more than 60 countries, where took pictures of animals and their biotopes, as well as measured water parameters, lighting, etc. His whole experience is applied to the development of products of JBL GmbH & Co.KG.

Heiko Bleher (Italy)

Famous traveler and explorer. So far he dicovered/re-discovered and introduced over 6000 differenet fresh- and brackishwater fishes into the hobby. He travels every year to different wild parts of the world. He holds seminars around the world, appears on television. He decorated first 4000 l biotope aquarium in 1963, and since than throughout the world. Founder of the quarterly magazine "aqua geographia". Chief editor of the scientific journal "aqua, International Journal of Ichthyology".

Chris Lukhaup (Germany)

Traveller, specialist in underwater landscapes and aquarium invertebrates photography. Member of numerous expeditions around the world: Cuba, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Australia, United States, Panama, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Brazil, Japan, Europe, Sri Lanka, etc. Author of numerous books and articles on freshwater shrimps.

Ivan Mikolji (Venezuela)

Researcher of wildlife in Venezuela. Specializes in taking photos and videos of rare species. Author of documentary about tropical fish in their natural biotpes. Founder and president of the Foundation of Fish of Venezuela. He now also protects continental freshwater bodies, including all kinds of aquatic flora and fauna.

George Fear (USA)

The board member of the American Cichlid Association, and North Jersey Aquarium Society. Starting in 1987, he has traveled frequently to South America to collect tropical fish. His trips include Venezuela, Brasil, Ecuador, Argentina, and most often, Peru, where he leads annual collecting expeditions for hobbyists. Past president of the American Catfish and Loach Association.

Piotr Kierzkowski (Poland)

Biologist, worked at the Zoological Institute of the University of Wroclaw. Aquarist and diver. Author of films about natural biotopes. Co-founder of an Internet project Definite Aquascape TV.

Pawel Szewczak (Poland)

The owner of aquarium Store "Atoll-Zoo" in Warsaw. Co-author of Freshawater shrimp book, "KREWETKI SŁODKOWODNE" and contributor of "Nasze Akwarium". A member of the judging panel IAPLC.

Elena Mazurek (Russia)

Aquarist, aquarium designer. She actively contributes to the development of biotope aquaristic in Russia. Art director of the graphic design studio. Winner of JBL Tropical Biotope Contest 2011. Silver prize winner of JBL Tropical Biotopes Contest 2012.

Alexey Malyshev (Russia)

Traveler and explorer of natural biotopes in Russia and other countries. Author of online publications about aquatic life of rivers and lakes in Russia. Winner of JBL Tropical Biotope Contest 2012. Silver prize winner of JBL Tropical Biotope Contest 2011.

Dimitris Ioannou (Greece)

Moderator of the Greek Aquarist's Board, the biggest aquarium forum in Greece and Cyprus, specialized in biotope aquariums. The 1st and the 2nd place winner in the 1st International Biotope Aquarium Contest by Heiko Bleher in Athens 2012. Participant of all local contests. Keeper and breeder of rainbowfishes. All his aquariums are biotopical.
